Soteria Disaster Response was founded by volunteers who had already stepped into disaster zones — from hurricanes to floods — working long hours in uncertain conditions with limited resources. These experiences revealed both the strength of ordinary people in crisis and the urgent need for better organization, training, and support. Out of that realization, Soteria was born — to transform raw determination into coordinated action.
